Kurzprofil: 

Dr. Sarah Schäfer-Althaus studierte Literatur-, Kultur,- und Medienwissenschaft an der Universität Siegen sowie Anglistische und Amerikanistische Literatur- und Kulturwissenschaft an der Illinois State University und der Universität Paderborn, wo sie sich mit einer Arbeit über Körperlichkeit und Geschlecht in weiblichen Heiligenlegenden promovierte (2015). Ihr erstes Buch "The Gendered Body" erschien 2016 im Universitätsverlag Winter, Heidelberg. Seit Herbst 2014 lehrt und forscht sie am Institut für Anglistik und Amerikanistik der Universität Koblenz-Landau (Campus Koblenz) und ist Koordinatorin/Initatorin mehrerer Auslandskooperationen in den USA/UK. Weitere Informationen zu laufenden Projekten s.   • M 4.3 Writing Skills:  07 Dec (TTT/Research Question); 04 Jan (Essay 1st Draft); 18 Jan (Essay); 01 March (Portfolio M4)
  • M 5.4 Teaching Literature (Focus: Shakespeare): 23 Nov (Teaching Philosophy Statement); 04 Jan (Abstracts for Term Papers); 01 March (Term Papers). 
  • M 6.3 Medicine and Science in 18th and 19th Century Literature and Culture : 04 Jan (Abstracts for Term Papers), 01 March (Term Papers) 

 

Note: Students have to submit an abstract of 300 words including working title (electronically, docx.-format), thesis statement and at least three references before writing their M5, M6 or M8 papers. Deadline is in accordance with the deadline listed above (see M6) for the respective semester that means that students from prev. M5/M6-seminars who plan to write their M6-paper with me need to submit their abstracts by 04 Jan 2021 as well.
