Preparing for Your First Session



Once you make an appointment, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to connect with the tutor in Google Hangouts and Google Docs. As your tutoring session draws closer, you will receive a reminder email with the same information.

A few minutes before your tutoring session is scheduled to begin, you will need to upload your notes or rough draft to Google Docs and share it with the tutor. You will also need to open Google Hangouts.

When it’s time for your session to begin, the tutor will call you via Google Hangouts using the Google email address you provided. If you don’t have Google Hangouts open before the tutor calls you, it’s possible that you will not hear the notification. Failing to answer when the tutor calls may result in the cancellation of your tutoring session.
