Software adaptation is a topic that crosscuts much of software engineering, programming languages, information systems, formal methods, and other major areas of computer science. The CS department at the University of Koblenz-Landau engages in a research focus on software adaptation, and thereby connects scientists and teams in classical areas of computer science as much as application areas such as web-based systems, SOA, mobile systems, and robotics.
Master students of ERASMUS partners and of Koblenz University can earn 3 ECTS credits on this course if they also participate in the ROS workshop which is given Sept. 12.-16. 2011.
Topics which are specific to adaption are covered by three lectures on monday Sept. 12th. These lectures will relate problems of mobile systems, in particular autonomos robots, to topics in software engineering and to adaption.
