The impact of social bots on political discourses and elections: Expert talk with Markus Strohmaier from the University of Koblenz-Landau in the German Bundestag

How dangerous are computer programs that autonomously post news in social media („social bots“)? Can they affect political discourses in the Web and thereby elections? Experts discussed this issue on 26th January 2017 with the committee for education, research and technological impact assessment in the German Bundestag.

Prof. Dr. Markus Strohmaier from the faculty of computer science at the University of Koblenz-Landau was invited as part of this committee.
