Paedagogik (Bachelor of Arts)

The Bachelor degree program in Paedagogik provides theoretically grounded, interdisciplinary and practice-oriented training. Graduates qualify over the course of 6 semesters for jobs primarily in extracurricular educational professions.

The degree program consists of five areas (see program content) that convey the principles of educational science and methodology and also address important related disciplines, such as sociology and psychology as well as selected key skills in detail. This is all the more important as the professional spectrum facing future graduates is no longer limited to core educational skills and activities such as diagnosis, consulting, planning, management and evaluation are gaining ever greater importance.

This interdisciplinary, practice-oriented profile makes the degree program in Paedagogik a sound basis for a number of interesting professional prospects, for instance in the field of child and youth welfare, advice institutions, care homes and nursing facilities, as well as in commercial enterprises and in personal development. It is also the prerequisite for admission to a subsequent Master’s degree program.
