Short Description

The world wide web links continents and provides people worldwide with information. However, an efficient and effective handling of this information overload requires new methods enabling integration, cross-linking and realignment of knowledge. To achieve these goals, knowledge has to be provided on the web and requested in a novel way. Accordingly, methods for new web technologies and standards are developed and formalized in Net2, as well as prototypically implemented.
Net2 supports the development of appropriate methods in a world-wide research network in more than 9 countries from 4 continents by providing funds for the exchange of scientist.
