General about MMWeb

Multimedia Web focus group is a group of researchers and students who look at the multimedia, its analysis, processing, and understanding in web from very different angles. MMWeb members come from two different research groups, namely Web Science and Technologies and Active Vision. Both of them carry out research activities in the area of multimedia processing. However, their understanding of and the approach to scientific challenges in this field differ significantly. We believe that bringing together scientists having such different views on the same problem will lead to new ideas and solutions in this challenging research area.

Mission

To conceptualize and realize new intelligent algorithms for browsing, searching, and retrieving multimedia data from the web combining both, its low-level and high-level descriptions.
