Dr. York Sure appointed as Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science

As of May 1, 2009, Prof. Dr. Sure will join the research group - ISWeb - Information Systems and Semantic Web - and he will lead a research group at the GESIS Leibniz Institute for Social Sciences on
information processes in the social sciences. Prof. Sure is among the 250 most highly cited researchers in the domain of Web research. Bridging between computer science, social science and library science, he will strengthen the departments long term research and teaching objectives on
the emerging discipline of Web Science. Before joining the department, Prof. Sure held positions as lecturer at the Universities of Karlsruhe and Mannheim and as project manager at SAP Research.
