Institute WeST participates in the Network of Excellence on PetaMedia - Peer to Peer Tagged Media

Together with CWI, Amsterdam, NL and Eurecom, Sophia Antipolis, FR, researchers at WeST investigate exploring, extracting, and storing events as real-world occurences in which humans participate. Following a human-centered approach, the distributed semantic storage infrastructure "SemaPlorer" developed at WeST and winner of the Billion Triples Challenge 2008 will be connected with a novel user interface from CWI. Eurecom provides integration of event information from various sources.
