Max Braun receives Award for his Master Thesis

The award winner wrote his master thesis titled "Context-aware Collaborative Creation of Semantic Points of Interest as Linked Data" at WeST - the Institute for Web Science and Technologies. He has won the first prize entitled with 3500 Euro prize money in a tough competition in the annual thesis award competition organized by AFCEA Bonn e.V..
Max Braun has developed a platform for mobile application that allows its users to describe points of interest using their mobile phone, to classify them semantically and to share the description as well as the classification system.
The work by Max Braun constitutes the foundation for the ongoing development of the system Stevie demonstrating the advantage of semantic web technologies in mobile application scenarios.
Max Braun now works for Google inc. in Mountain View, CA, USA.
