Convergence of routing algorithms
Description
The project "Convergence of Routing Algorithms" deals with the reorganization capacities of router-linked networks. The target is to enhance the convergence of routing algorithms. Hereby, it is of crucial importance to detect and avoid routing loops, since they are the main obstacle for the convergence of routing algorithms. These experiments are carried out on the basis of virtual machines (VNUML). There are already newly successful methods to avoid routing loops in distance vector algorithms. These tasks are performed as the vector-based routing algorithm (RIP, EIGRP, BGP4) enable the transmission of Routing Policies in contrast to the Link-State algorithms (OSPF).
