Truck Driving Simulator

Reversing vehicles with trailers is generally very difficult and demanding. Therefore, the main objective of this project was to design, realize, and evaluate driver assistance systems to support drivers in backing up articulated vehicles. Furthermore, the design of the driver assistance systems has to consider all perception channels like vision, acoustics, and haptics. To apply reverse driving assistance systems in test vehicles, we additionally developed sensors to measure the bending angle between tractor and trailer.
