The Working Group
The working group "Active Vision" (AGAS) has been founded by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dietrich Paulus in spring 2002.
Under the main topic Analysis of Image Sequences the working group is concerned with the following topics:
- Optimization
Methods and tools for the optimization of process chains and their parameters - Knowledge-based Analysis
Explicit use of knowledge (e.g. in terms of databases) for the analysis of images - Active Vision
Active adjustment of sensors for specific problem-solving - Software Architecture for Image Processing
Object-oriented architectures for fast and efficient image processing
The scientific tasks and teaching activities are performed in close collaboration with the Image Recognition Laboratory (Prof. Dr. Lutz Priese), the Institute for Software Techniques (Prof. Dr. Jürgen Ebert) and the Working Group ISWeb (Prof. Dr. Steffen Staab).
