Projects
Robotics
Robbie, Lisa, GiGo, Roach and Macropod are the autonomous mobile robots of the Active Vision Group. Their operational spectrum ranges from rescue missions and houshold shores to long range outdoor navigation and 3D mapping. Information on our robots can be found here.
Cogain
The Working Group is part of projects of the university (partly financed by the DFG) as well as of international EU projects.
| In collaboration with the working groups of Prof. Dr. Harbusch and Prof. Dr. Rödler the working group Active Vision is a member of the network of excellence COGAIN, Communication by Gaze Interaction, financed by the EU. Our local project site provides more information. |
STOR
In the "Software Techniques for Object Recognition" (STOR) project the working groups Software Technology and Active Vision do research on a component oriented concept for object recognition in images and series of images. This could be used for pose estimation in augmented reality for example.
PoSe
PosE is a common DFG-funded project from the working group Active Vision and Lab Imagerecognition of the Institue for Computational Visualistics of the University of Koblenz-Landau.
The project's goal is to develop real time capable algorithms to compute the pose from an image given a 3-d-model of the surrounding.
