KOPID - Koblenz Package Image Database
The Koblenz Package Image Database (KOPID) is split up into two parts, the object images and the scene images parts.
Object Part
The object part of the KOPID database comprises of images with exactly one package. There are 17 different package types viewed under three different illuminant conditions, 12 viewing angles, and 5 viewing heights. The objects are taken under an electronic ballast (EVG=elektronisches Vorschaltgerät (german)) and a spot light from two different lightning positions (Spot1 and Spot2).

Scene Part
The scene part of the KOPID database comprises of scene images. In the center of each scene, there are four different packages on a rotary disk. In the background of each scene, there are several fixed packages and a 24-patch Gretag MacBeth ColorChecker. There are 11 scene types viewed under 5 different illuminant conditions (evgDL, spot1, spot12, spot1EVG, spot2DL), 12 viewing angles, and 5 viewing heights.

Download
There are two download versions of the KOPID database, a full version and a cropped version. In the full version, the images contains several packages and a Gretag Macbeth ColorChecker in the background. For each package in an image, there exist a corresponding bounding box file that describe the position of the package in the image. The cropped version comprises of images with exactly one package.
