Lebenslauf

Before joining the University of Koblenz-Landau in 2006 as a Professor of Marketing and Electronic Retailing, Gianfranco Walsh was a Senior Lecturer in Marketing with a British university. He is also a Visiting Professor in the University of Strathclyde Business School's Department of Marketing. The University of Strathclyde Business School is one of only about twenty global business schools to have received accreditation from the three major accrediting bodies - AACSB, Equis and AMBA.

From 2002 to 2004 Gianfranco Walsh was an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Hanover's Department of Marketing. After graduating with a B.B.A. in marketing from the University of Applied Science, Lueneburg (now University of Lueneburg) in autumn 1996, Gianfranco Walsh earned an MPhil from Manchester School of Management, now Manchester Business School, in 1998.

He received his Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Hanover in 2001 and his Habilitation degree in 2004. His Ph.D. thesis won two awards for academic excellence given by the Berufsverband Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforscher and Freundeskreis der Universität Hannover.

In addition, Gianfranco Walsh actively consults companies in the fields of market research, customer marketing, and E-Commerce.
