Confluentic

This project evolved from cooperation with Tenneco Automotive, a globally operating automotive components supplier.

The research group of Prof. Dr. Klaus G. Troitzsch developed a software application for midterm logistics planning. The Confluentic application calculates cash and cost positions of transport routes between supplier, intercompany and customer sites. Target is the reduction of the sum of transport and inventory costs.

Results of the tool are presented in significant tables, evaluated and highlighted by traffic light and Pareto principles. Transport flows are visualised with an integrated geographical information system, the map&guide mapserver4.

The upcoming project Confluentic 2 will develop an agent based solution for day-to-day logistics planning.
