Environmental Science

The group for Environmental Science has been founded in 2004. It is part of the Institute for Environmental Sciences, which belongs to the Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences. The Institute has the main responsibility for the Course of Studies in Environmental Sciences at the Landau Campus, which started in fall 2001 and includes at present about 250 students. The course covers a wide range of topics including natural sciences, social sciences, environmental economics and law with the five main focus areas Applied Ecology, Biodiversity & Sustainability, Geoecology, Ecotoxicology, and Social Economics & Environmental Management.
