Ecotoxicology (Master of Science)

International education at the highest stage: as one of the first universities in Germany the University of Koblenz-Landau offers a master´s program in Ecotoxicology starting with the winter term 2009/10.  

The master´s program is mainly conducted in English language. It is concerned with the analysis of the impacts of chemicals on the biotic environment. As a special emphasis lies on the application and development of methods for environmental risk assessment. Therefore the interdisciplinary master´s programm integrates concepts of environmental chemistry, toxicology and ecology.  

By the well-balanced combination of theoretical and practical courses at the university and internships at other research organisations the graduates are prepared for many employment opportunities in an upcoming field of science with excellent career perspectives, e. g. at scientific facilities and research institutes, authorities and ministries, industry and consulting enterprises.

  • Bachelor degree in environmental sciences with the final grade "good" or better
    or 
  • Bachelor degree with environmental scientific orientation at a German or foreign university with the final grade "good" or better, if the absolved study program contains the necessary previous knowledge
    or
  • a at least six-semester study with environmental scientific orientation at a German or foreign university with a final grade "good" or better, if the study program is equivalent to the bachelor or of higher quality and if it contains the necessary previous knowledge
