Dr. Alisa Melnikova

Project Manager of Hazardous Substance Management at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. After her Bachelor's degree in Biophysics, she completed a Master of Science in Environmental Chemistry in 2012 and a Master of Science in Environmental Economics. From 2013 to 2018, she completed her PhD in Environmental Sciences at the University of Koblenz-Landau. She then worked as a project manager for material development at Profine GmbH.

A Digital Event for Prospective PhD Candidates, PhD Candidates and Postdocs

If you like to expand your career opportunities after your master’s degree or PhD in Germany, you should take part in this workshop. A lot of relevant information and tools for orientation in job market and career options will be introduced to the participants. An overview of different paths in academia, outside academia (from industry to management and administration) or as an entrepreneur will be provided and we will discuss, what could be an ideal time to switch between the different perspectives.

Beside the theoretical part of the workshop, we will exercise in an interactive way many important skills, for example, an effective job search, writing a well-structured CV and correct self-presentation. You will also get an insight into new instruments for increasing your activity and understanding of the German labour market as well as for preparing for a job interview.
