Scientific Café with a Guest – New Technologies and Digitalization from a Psychological Perspective
A Digital Event for PhD Candidates and Postdocs
The Scientific Café for PhD candidates and postdocs of the University of Koblenz-Landau intends to encourage the exchange with other researchers and PhD candidates and aims to improve both the academic English and presentation skills for the own research. In addition, advanced researchers are invited regularly to give an insight in their own research and work.
This semester the guest of the Scientific Café is Professor Dr. Claudia Quaiser-Pohl from the Department for Developmental Psychology and Psychological Assessment at the University Koblenz-Landau. She will talk about her research field – new technologies and digitalization from a psychological perspective. Digitalization nowadays is a buss word and belongs to our academic everyday life, however the psychological aspects of digital media are rarely discussed. The presentation focusses on different topics covering psychological aspects of digitalization, as there are e.g. problematic smartphone use, digital competences of school teachers, or the use of humanlike robots.
All participants are invited to join the discussion following the presentation.
An event of STIBET funded by the DAAD with financial means of the German Federal Foreign Office
