Counsels students and researchers on all relevant aspects of their careers. After completing his education in Oxford, Paris and Tübingen, he worked as a literary scholar, science manager and translator. Since 2020 he has been a trainer and coach for careers advice for university graduates.

  • Relevant differences between academic and non-academic applications
  • How to read a job advertisement
  • Preparation steps for writing a persuasive application
  • Typical elements of an application dossier
  • Adjustment of my dossier to different (kinds of) positions
  • Cover letter and CV: contents, structure, ways of highlighting my competencies
  • Particular challenges for international candidates (language etc.)

 

In addition, there is room for your individual questions and concerns.

If possible, please bring a suitable job ad with you (i. e. for a job that suits your profile and/or a job you consider applying for).
