| 1983 - 1986 | Graduate study in Psychology at the Justus Liebig-University in Giessen. Research at the "documenta urbana" in Kassel, experimental housing, built by 9 groups of architects with international reputation. |
| 1987 | Research assistant (Prof. Dr. Jens-Jörg Koch) at the University of Paderborn. |
| 1992 | PhD. in Psychology. "Lively dwelling: Development of psychological guidelines for housing quality" (grant awarded by the German Housing Authorities: GdW/Cologne – support by the German Association of Architects: BDA/Bonn). The dissertation included the study of housing projects in Berlin, Hannover, Kassel, Luenen, Mainz, Muenchen (Munich), Muenster, Neuss, Recklinghausen, Stuttgart. |
