Raoul Könsgen, M.Sc.

Research Associate

Raoul Könsgen worked from 2008 until 2012 as an IT-trainee at Mauser-Werke in Brühl whilst pursuing an apprenticeship as an IT-specialist with a focus on system integration.  During this time, he spent six months as an international student at the Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok, where he collected comprehensive experiences in international projet management. He also obtained Bachelor degree in Information Systems (Thesis title: "Network Optimization by Means of WAN-Accelerators").In addition, he was part of the Microsoft Student Partner Program where he hosted several workshops at different Universities about Microsoft's software technologies.

In 2013, he worked for three months as a backend programmer at MertenSteinke GmbH in Siegen. In April 2013, he started his Master studies in Business Information Systems at the European University of Applied Sciences in Cologne. In his final thesis, he developed a fraud detection system by means of data mining algorithms. Whilst studying for his Master degree, Raoul also worked as a junior IT project manager in a scrum team at the Deutsche Hausärzteverband e.V.

After completing his MSc, Raoul joined the Institute for Management at the University of Koblenz-Landau in December 2015 and is currently working towards a PhD concerning online reputation.
