About Bournemouth University:

Bournemouth university was founded in 1992. It has two Campuses: Lansdowne Campus (Bournemouth town centre) and Talbot Campus (Poole)

Though fairly new, it has a student population of over 16,000 students (including over 1,500 international students). BU provides degrees in a wide range of academic areas such as Children’s Literature, Narrative Structures, Gender and Sexuality, and Writing for the Media (see Courses: https://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/courses ). Exchange places: 1 per year

 

Costs:

Erasmus Exchange Partner: no tuition fees

Erasmus scholarship: 420 EUR per month; maximum 4 months are paid.

Funding is paid only for the teaching period (Vorlesungszeit).

Erasmus Exchange: Bachelor and Master level (but you cannot combine Masters and Bachelor’s courses)

 

Semester dates:

Exchange is possible in the autumn semester (“semester 1”), which usually begins in late September and ends in February.

How to apply:

Applications should include

(i) a cover sheet (please download here),

(ii) a CV (Lebenslauf) in English or German with a passport photograph,

(iii) a letter of motivation in English explaining why you are applying for this particular university and which courses you are intending to take during your semester abroad, and

(iv) a printout of your academic transcript (Bescheinigung über bisher erbrachte Studienleistungen in allen Fächern) from KLIPS.
