About USC Upstate:

USC Upstate is located in Spartanburg, the second-largest city in the greater Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson Area in the north west of South Carolina.

The university offers Bachelor's degree programs in liberal arts, sciences, business administration, nursing and teacher education, and has a student-faculty ratio of 18:1.

"Eine Besonderheit der Hochschulzusammenarbeit liegt darin, dass die rheinland-pfälzischen Studierenden in South Carolina wie „Landeskinder“ behandelt werden. Sie müssen demnach nicht die für die anderen Ausländer hohen Studiengebühren bezahlen, sondern nur die so genannte „instate
tuition“. Diese Gebühren bekommen sie bei einem direkten Austausch mit einem amerikanischen Studierenden sogar ganz erlassen."
