Thesis project:

The Antarctic Peninsula is one of the most impacted sites on the continent. Among these areas the South Shetland Islands, a group of islands in which King George Island is located, and has been described with high concentrations of pollutants due to scientific activities and tourism. The objective of this project is to evaluate the presence of drugs and microplastics in environmental matrices and their presence in soils of bird colonies, due to biotransport and its possible reproductive effects, studying non-invasive matrices such as eggshells hatched.
