Location

The Institute is located in the MA buildings on the campus.

Arrival

By train

Take a train to the Koblenz main train station (Hauptbahnhof). In front of the train station, you will find several bus stops. There you should board a bus with either the number 3 or 20.

By bus

The EVM buses will transport you to the bus stop Oberweiher (UNI). The campus is located directly next to the bus stop.  The duration of travel on Bus 20 for the route from ‘City of Koblenz’ to ‘Oberweiher (UNI)’ and back, is significantly shorter as the trip made by Bus 5.  If you need to go to the buildings MA and MB, you can get off Bus 20 directly at the bus stop ‘Winninger Straße’ (Winninger Street). From there it is only a few meters up to the building complexes of MB and MA.  Unfortunately, Bus 20 does not operate on Saturdays and Sundays, but the EVM buses also have an alternative RMV Bus 6055 that drives through the bus stop ‘Winninger Straße’ (Winninger Street).

By car

From the north (Northern Germany, Ruhr District, Cologne) and from the east (new federal states, Gießen):

Take the A3 to the triangle of Dernbach (Dernbacher Dreieck). Change onto the A48 towards Koblenz and drive to the Koblenz exit. Then travel on the B9 Koblenz for approximately 4 kilometers and then exit at Metternich, B258.

Drive towards Metternich for approximately 3 kilometers and then turn onto the B416 towards Güls. After approximately 500 meters, take the exit ‘Metternich West’, UNI and follow the signs.

From the south (southern Germany, Mainz) and from the west (Luxembourg, Eifel, Trier):

From the A61, take the exit Metternich where you will then turn in the direction of Koblenz. After about 5 kilometers, take a right on the B258. Stay on the B258 for about 1.5 kilometers before turning onto the B416 towards Güls. After approximately 500 meters, take the exit ‘Metternich West’, UNI and follow the signs.

Parking

The University of Koblenz has a parking lot directly next to the Metternich campus.
