Research Group Zöbel

Head of the research group: Prof. Dr. Dieter Zöbel.

Overview

Welcome at the research group Zöbel of the University Koblenz-Landau, Campus Koblenz.

Our research group deals with research and teaching of various topics concerning real-time and mobile systems. Additionally, we deal with topics of operating systems. In all these areas, we offer courses for undergraduates and/or graduates.

The focus of our research and project interests in the field of real-time and mobile systems is the following:

  • Systematical design of time-critical applications, targeting to regard all time- and valuebased inacuracies for process-planning and softwaredesign.
  • Development of methods for autonomic and assisted driving of vehicles with "nichholomen" moving-properties (e.g. series vehicle with trailer).
  • Setup of a componentbased softwarearchitecture for rapid development and adjustments of applications in the area of autonomic, assisted and dimulated driving.
  • Design and implementation of assitance systems for steering, supporting the driver while backing up vehicles with trailers.
  • Setup and Design of a driving simulator for teaching student drivers in driving with and without trailers.
