Research Group E-Government

The research group E-Government teaches and conducts research in the area around the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in the public sector. This on the one hand includes the comprehensive examination of technological questions from the different viewpoints as well as the consideration of E-Government from a multidisciplinary perspective in order to understand and design the relationships between organizations, human and technology with the sense of a holistic approach.

eGov LivingL@bDue to the diverse involvement of students within for example project and research work, project-based teaching, the participation in organizational and requirements analysis, the modeling, introduction and evaluation of application systems and with dissertations, master and bachelor theses we ensure an application-oriented teaching within the subject of E-Government. Our e-GovLivingL@b offers an excellent environment for students working in cooperation with business and government for system analysis, modeling and system design in public administration – coupled with research oriented innovation!

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Maria A. Wimmer is in charge of organizing the annual Internationale EGOV conference.
