Ongoning projects


Die allgemeine Zielsetzung von SCOOP4C (Stakeholder Commuinty for Once-Only-Principle) besteht darin zu untersuchen, zu erörtern und zu verbreiten, wie die gemeinsame Gestaltung und Bereitstellung (Co-Creation and Co-Production) von öffentlichen Dienstleistungen für Bürger mithilfe der Einführung des Grundsatzes der einmaligen Erfassung umgesetzt werden können.


Mit dem BKS-Portal.rlp stellt das Land Rheinland-Pfalz sukzessive allen Aufgabenträgern im Brand- und Katastrophenschutz sowie dem Rettungsdienst eine zentrale Wissens- und Informationsplattform zur Verfügung.


As the Pan-European Public Procurement Online (PEPPOL) project was successfully completed in August, 2012, the PEPPOL specifications were already implemented in many European places.


e-Sens is a co-funded project of the European Union which is based on the ICT Policy Support Programm (ICT PSP) which is a part of the Competitiveness and Innovation framework Programme (CIP) of the European Union. The main goal of the new project is to boost the digital single market and a simplification of trans-border public services.


The CEN WS/BII workshop 3 was launched in March 2013 and will continue this work to support the development of interoperable, electronic procurement and business solutions.

KoMePol - mPart

On the one side, the study analyses confidence and trust in a functioning, non-abusive-driven technology, in particular the trust, that privacy is protected and the technology can be used without inhibition. On the other side, it analyses trust in the possibilities to take political influence associated with the use of these technologies.


Information and communication technology advice, benchmarking and consulting services: High level consultancy and studies


The project deals with the creation of the model of a relational open source database to the application ZuSy, as well as an evaluation of the modular integration of this application to Microsoft SharePoint Server.

Gov 3.0

The envisaged impact of the project relates to the establishment of Government 3.0 as a vivid scientific domain, encompassing Electronic Government, ICT-enabled Governance and Policy Modelling and support. The most positive impact affects citizens themselves as the road is now clear to unify and apply these studies and applications, which were developed for citizens.

OCOPOMO (Open COllaboration for POlicy MOdelling) develops an integrated IT platform for efficient policy development by integrating formal policy modelling, scenario generation, and open collaboration supporting engagement of wide stakeholder groups in social and economic policy areas of two pilots.


The Eu-Project PEPPOL is funded under the competitiveness and innovation programme (CIP). The PEPPOL project aims to develop pilot solutions for the domain of public procurement.


Within the research project egosta an online platform is being developed and tested to involve stakeholders in the development process of large e-government projects.


CROSSROAD aimed to build a roadmap for ICT research in the field of governance and policy modelling.


Integrating Semantics, Social Software and Serious Games into eParticipation


The project's objective combined enterprise architecture and live-long learning. The aims were to provide an learning enviroment where courses for three audience groups were offered. The audience groups were students, employees in private enterprises and employees in the public sector


Monitoring, Coordinating and Promoting the European Union eParticipation Projects and Initiatives


Within the European project VoicE (Giving European People a Voice in EU-Legislation) an internet platform was developed that enables citizens to take part in the decision making process of the EU.


BRITE (Business Register Interoperability Throughout Europe) aimed at optimizing the data exchange among business registers across Europe. The project thereby used ontologies as basis.


R4eGov (eGovernment in the Large) helped to manage one of the major challenges of eGovernment in Europe today: collaboration with different partners in a constantly changing environment without modifying the existing systems of participants.


The basic aim of DEMO-net was to strengthen the scientific, technological and social research excellence in eParticipation. This was achieved by integrating the research capacities of individuals and organizations spread across Europe.
