Current project

Plan-EE, planning a regional energy supply with renewable energy (July 2012 – June 2015)
EU INTERREG IV Programm, Science offensive, upper rhine valley.

Finished projects

Climate protection concept and sustainable action plan Landau, in the framework of the covernant of mayors (November 2011 - May 2012)

Solar potential and suitability of roof for photovoltaics of the city of Landau (October 2011 - February 2012)

Life cycle assessment of the waste management system of the city of Landau (November 2010 – June 2011)

EOS – Landau: Energy efficiency for the city of Landau (May 2009 – June 2010)
Urban areas play a key role to decrease energy consumption in the future. The EOS-project will assess concepts to increase the use of renewable energy sources on a local scale together with a more efficient use of energy in urban areas. GIS applications are used to calculate the potential for photovoltaics taking into account the roofs surfaces, sun exposure and slope. The biomass energy potential will be assess using data from energy plant cultivation and wood productivity.
