Person

From an early age, I was interested in nature and environmental topics. After I finished school I did a voluntary ecological year (FÖJ) at the University of Kaiserslautern in the department of urban water management. In addition I was able to run a project with the help of NABU and the University of Landau that focused on mapping crayfish in streams of the palatinate forest. Subsequently I started studying in the Bachelor of Environmental Science in Landau and I will proceed with the Masters in November 2020.

Research project

Due to my interests in freshwater ecosystems I am currently a student assistant of the Eußerthal Ecosystem Research Station (EERES). In my Bachelor thesis, I analyse the effects of BTI (Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) on the macrozoobenthos in standing waters as a part of a SystemLink PhD project with Verena Gerstle.
