I studied Biological Sciences at the University of Konstanz and wrote my bachelor thesis at the Limnological Institute about the “Influence of water depth on the stable-isotope-signature of zebra mussels”. After receiving my bachelor´s degree in 2012, I started the masters program “Ecotoxicology” at the University of Koblenz-Landau in the winter term 2012/2013. During the master course I completed a four-month internship at a contract research lab in Switzerland. This gave me the opportunity to deepen my knowledge in terrestrial ecotoxicology and to take part in Honeybee lab and field studies as well as Non-Target Plant and Earthworm Toxicity Studies.

Research Interests

My emphasis is on terrestrial ecotoxicology. Recently I studied repellence effects and the lethality of a pyrethroid insecticide on moth caterpillars during the Research Project Course. In the Master Thesis I am now working with solitary bees and bumblebees. The aim of my thesis is to develop acute oral and contact toxicity tests and to compare the sensitivities of European bee species to establish a species sensitivity distribution.
