Dr. Melanie Hahn

Former Member

Person

I studied Environmental Science at University of Landau and obtained my diploma in 2009. My diploma thesis on “The diversity and abundance of nocturnal insects in the agricultural landscape with a focus on moths“ (Untersuchung zu Diversität und Abundanz nachtaktiver Insekten – mit Schwerpunkt auf Nachtfaltern (Lepidoptera) – auf verschiedenen landwirtschaftlich genutzten Flächen) (more Info) received an University award (best diploma thesis with regional aspect in 2009). I started my PhD study at the Institute of Environmental Science in March 2010.

Research Interests

I am interested in biodiversity of the agricultural landscape and work in the fields of applied ecology linked with ecotoxicology.

Research Project

bap (biodiversity assessment of pesticides): Biodiversity protection in the regulation of environmental risks of pesticides (Research and development project funded by the Federal Environment Agency Germany) (more Info)
