Dr. Stefanie Allgeier

I finished my bachelor’s studies in „Management of natural resources (B.Sc.)” at the Martin-Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg in 2011. From 2011 to 2014 I did my master's study in “Ecotoxicology (M.Sc.)” at the University of Koblenz-Landau, Campus Landau. In summer 2012, I had the chance to experience a three month internship at BASF SE in Limburgerhof where I learned various aquatic and terrestrial test procedures in Ecotoxicology.

Since March 2015 I am working on my PhD study at the Institute for Environmental Sciences at the University Koblenz-Landau (Campus Landau) in a project funded by the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU).

Research interests

My research interest is mainly based on terrestrial Ecotoxicology whereby I most of all favour interdisciplinary tasks. As well as my master’s thesis my PhD study is dealing with indirect effects of mosquito control on non-target organisms, especially amphibans.

  • DBU-Project: Development of a concept for the mosquito treatments in the Upper Rhine valley that is in conformity with nature protection.
