Christian von Sikorski is an Assistant Professor of Political Psychology (tenure track) at the Institute of Communication Psychology and Media Education, Department of Psychology, University of Koblenz-Landau (at Landau), Germany. His research focuses on political psychology and political communication with an emphasis on political scandals, as well as terrorism coverage and effects (e.g., intergroup relations, political attitudes). 


Dr. von Sikorski published more than 25 articles in leading academic journals including Communication Research, Political Psychology, Media Psychology, Political Communication, Mass Communication and Society, and elsewhere. His research has received awards from the International Communication Association (ICA), the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC), and the German Communication Association (DGPuK). In 2018, he received the prestigious Article of the Year Award for the best article published in the journal Mass Communication and Society in 2017 (lead author). Prior to joining University of Koblenz-Landau he was a faculty member at the University of Vienna (Austria), Department of Communication (2015-2019).
