Secondary Vaccination: August 11 - 13 

If you have received your primary vaccination at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences between 7 and 14 July 2021, please also get your secondary vaccination. Only then your will be fully protected against a Covid infection.


Who can receive a secondary vaccination?

People who received their first vaccination between 7 and 14 July at the RheinMoselCampus.

Where do the second vaccinations take place?

The vaccinations take place on the RheinMoselCampus of the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences, Konrad-Zuse-Straße 1, in the area of the main entrance to building B.

What documents must be presented for the secondary vaccination?

  • a negative Corona rapid test result, not older than 24 hours
  • a valid identification document
  • documentation of possible side effects' form  (if lost, download again here)
  • information sheet of the primary vaccination (with identification number of the primary vaccination)
  • vaccination certificate or substitute form

Important: No secondary vaccination can be carried out without these documents. Lost vaccination documents cannot be reissued.


General Information on the Primary Vaccinations (July 7 - 14)

General information


The vaccination offer is aimed at persons who

  • are 18 years or older and
  • have their residence in RLP or are enrolled in a university in RLP and
  • have not received a primary vaccination.

Please note: Underage persons aged 16 or 17 with a corresponding occupational indication (proof required) can also be vaccinated if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

On-site registration for vaccination is only possible with a negative Corona rapid test result (not older than 24 hours). The test result must be presented in the registration area of the vaccination street.

There are test centres with trained staff in the immediate vicinity.

The following documents must be presented at the time of vaccination on site:

  • Identity card or other identification document
  • Vaccination certificate (if available) or substitute form [Download, German only]
  • Information sheet, medical history and informed consent form (2 x printed and signed) [Download

  • Negative Corona rapid test result (not older than 24 hours)

No, there is no leave of absence for the duration of the vaccination. A leave of absence must be clarified individually with the workplace, the school or the university of applied sciences/university.


Time, place and procedure


First vaccinations: 07 July - 09 July and 12 July - 14 July 2021

Second vaccinations: 11 August - 13 August 2021

Monday to Friday: 09:00 to 19:00
Saturdays and Sundays: closed

The vaccination campaign in Koblenz will take place at the RheinMoselCampus of Koblenz University of Applied Sciences.

  • Public transport lines 2, 12 and 620, stop: Koblenz University of Applied Sciences/Konrad-Zuse-Straße.
  • Parking spaces are available in the Karthause district, named P1 to P6.

This is what you need to know before the vaccination:

  • Register online [link] for vaccination in advance.
  • Arrive at the vaccination site 15 minutes before the assigned vaccination appointment.
  • You may dring and eat right before the vaccination.
  • Bring a drink with you for possible waiting times.
  • Bring a rain/sun cover with you for possible waiting times.
  • Vaccination is only possible with a negative Corona rapid test result (max. 24 hours old).
  • Wear outer clothing with short sleeves or without sleeves (changing rooms are not available).


Please note that masks are compulsory on site.

Please keep to the prescribed walking routes and observe the minimum distances.

This is how the vaccination will proceed on site:

  • Check-in: All data of the vaccinated persons will be recorded by the staff on site.
  • Informative talk (individual or group talk) and consent
  • Vaccination
  • Follow-up (15 minutes)
  • Check-out

The vaccination campaign is being carried out in parallel at the following university locations:

  • Kaiserslautern
  • Mainz
  • Ludwigshafen
  • Trier

Attention: Second vaccinations can only be given at the place of the first vaccination!


Vaccine, education and follow-up


For the vaccination campaign the mRNA vaccine Comirnaty of the manufacturer BioNTech/Pfizer will be used.

The vaccination campaign is supported by the German Red Cross (DRK).

The vaccinations are carried out by medical professionals.

Educational talks are held on site by medical professionals.

Vaccinated persons can stay on site for 15 minutes for follow-up.

You will receive the proof of complete vaccination against Covid-19 by e-mail after the second vaccination.

Primary vaccination, secondary vaccination and supplementary vaccination


No, in the first vaccination period (July) only initial vaccinations are carried out.

In the second vaccination period (August), only vaccinations that were started in the first vaccination period are completed.

Yes, people who have recovered from a Saars-CoV-2 infection can receive a supplementary vaccination.

Yes, people who received a vaccination in the first vaccination period (July) can receive a second vaccination in the second vaccination period (August) at the same location.
