- Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy supports innovative pilot project for the promotion of scientific start-ups: ZIFET of the University of Koblenz-Landau receives 1.19 million euros for the "StArfrica" project in cooperation with the University of Rwanda.

Indian master's student wins DAAD Prize
- Applied Mathematics student Hiba Saleel from India is honored for outstanding intercultural engagement by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The 2020 Prize was presented to Saleel at the University of Koblenz where she is a "Cultural Ambassador of her country".

Student team Koblenz wins iGOvDIGITAL Award
- Master’s students of the Faculty of Computer Science win the Europe-wide iGOvDIGITAL Award. With their project proposal DyLoMoCo and the help of AI, IoT and interlinked infrastructure, the team developed a concept for dynamic urban traffic management. They won first place in a competition endowed with 5,000€.

Record for new international enrollments on Campus Koblenz
- For the winter term 2020/21, 154 international students started their studies on Campus Koblenz, Germany. In comparison to last year, the number of international students has not only increased by 67 but has also reached a new high.
