International Guest Researchers

The Welcome Center supports international guest researchers who stay at the university for more than 1 month with all non-academic matters – from visa application, health insurance and child care to registration with the residents’ office and extending the visa after arrival.

Many individual circumstances of the guests define what kind of support is required. Some researchers come on their own, while others are accompanied by a partner or their family. Some guests have a working contract, others plan to undertake a short research stay. The level of German language knowledge varies, as well.

Therefore, the Welcome Center staff supports international guests on an individualized case-to-case basis.

Researchers who plan to come to the University Koblenz-Landau should contact the Welcome Center at an early stage of their planning.
