Academic Calendar

The academic year in Germany is divided into two semesters:

The winter semester officially begins on 1^st October and ends on 31^st March.

The summer semester begins on 1^st April and ends on 30th September.

However, the lecture period usually only runs from mid-October until mid-February and from mid-April until the end of July. The remaining time is intended for exams/internships/semester break and the orientation week

The lecture period of the winter semester 2022/23 starts on 24^th October 2022. In summer semester 2023, the courses start on 17^th April 2023.

The last date of arrival for newcomers in Koblenz: 10^th April 2023 for the summer semester 2023
