What are the requirements for studying at the University KO-LD?

The requirements for studying at the University KO-LD can be very different. Here the selected field of study, the country of origin, as well as the academic and school education play a role. Basically, the following requirements for a regular course of study must be met:

  • Proof of very good knowledge of German (at least level B2/C1). Exceptions are master's programs taught in English and doctoral studies
  • Proof of health insurance
  • Proof of residence status for Germany

What is the impact of immigration status on access to higher education?

Before you apply, you should check if you have a residence permit for Germany (e.g. Gestattung, Duldung, Aufenthaltstitel), or whether you can get it, and whether you are allowed to move or stay in Koblenz or Landau for studies.
