The MoSAiK project was launched as part of the quality offensive for teacher training launched by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The aim of the project is a modular school practice integration as a starting point for individual competence development (MoSAiK) in the first phase of the training of future teachers at the University of Koblenz-Landau.

The IWM is involved in the MoSAiK central project in the context of university didactic digitisation and, as a competent partner, contributes to the promotion of the media competence of teachers and students in teacher training courses. In addition to bundling existing expertise in university didactics and e-learning, the cooperation also focuses on networking between the institutions with the aim of jointly shaping the work area.

One of the main tasks is the initiation of a counselling and advanced training programme for university teachers (with a focus on digitisation) in the field of teacher training. In addition to the conception and testing of competence-oriented qualification offers at the interface between university didactics and digitisation, counselling, workshops and training courses from presence mode to online are also carried out.

Last but not least, the development and piloting of innovative teaching projects and learning scenarios in the digital field, e.g. in the multimedia teaching and learning laboratory "mLab" on the Koblenz campus, plays a central role.
