Welcome to the pages of the MOSeL project

The aim of the project "Media, Organisation, Service for eLearning" (MOSeL) was to promote the broad use of electronic media in teaching at the Koblenz campus.

The project builds on the fact that the use of electronic media in teaching on campus in regular operation has increased significantly in recent years,

  • Through the profile-building focal points of "educational sciences" and "computer science" on campus, a wide range of competencies are available that can be used even more than before for the expansion of e-learning,
  • with the campus-wide radio network and the mLab, there are good conditions for testing innovative forms of teaching and learning,
  • with the Institute for Knowledge Media Koblenz, a central institution for the coordination of e-learning exists.

For the use of these possibilities as well as for the evaluation of the results achieved, resources are centrally established, which serve not only to provide support but also to build up corresponding competences in the departments. Parallel to the establishment of central service structures, opportunities for the continuous exchange of experience in the use of new media in teaching will be created.

The MOSEL project, which ran from August 1, 2005 to July 31, 2008, was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the "New Media in Education" program.
