UB Koblenz Service with Corona Regulations

As part of Corona prevention, the University Library has reopened to visitors on a limited basis, yet a number of necessary restrictions remain in place at the same time.

The UB in Koblenz is currently open for you from 10 am - 7 pm .

The following regulations apply to the use of the library:

  • Please understand that we currently have to do without personal contacts to a large extent and only offer you short stays for borrowing media.
  •  Detailed consultation in the library cannot take place.
We ask you to keep your distance at all times during your stay and to follow the instructions of the security and library staff without exception.

You may only enter Koblenz UB if you wear a mouth-nose protection. At present, the wearing of a medical face mask (OP mask) or a mask of the standards KN95/N95 or FFP2 is mandatory in libraries.

 

Below is a list of what is available on site at the UB:


during service hours: 10:00 - 15:00:

  • Unlocking the Unicard as a library card for first-year students
  • purchase of TANs for interlibrary loan orders
  • direct re-lending after return, if no reservation has been made
  • Collecting interlibrary loans of monographs and journal articles are currently being delivered electronically again.

during the entire opening hours 10:00 - 19:00:

  • Payment of fees at the machine
  •  Lending of holdings from the open access area
  •  Returning items (also possible without booking an appointment in the return box in front of the library during opening hours)
  •  Use of scanners and copiers
  •  Use of study workstations

always, regardless of time

  • Returning borrowed media by post
  • Ordering and reservations from the holdings of the UB in Koblenz and the UB Landau.
  • Use of electronic resources (e-books, e-journals, databases ...)
  • Interlibrary loan orders via DigiBib


Below is a list of which services are currently not available at the UB:

  • Use of group study rooms
  • detailed research advice
  • Training courses and tours
