Profil3 is an internal project of the University that is part of its longer-term development program.Development Plan "Entwicklungslinien 2013-2020" (in German)
Changes in the European and German university-systems, in particular the increased competition for external funds as well as demographic changes, require adaptations by all universities. Part of the University of Koblenz-Landau's answer is an increased focus on strategic program development in research and teaching, an extended focus on young academics and an intensified internationalization of its activities.

- Young Scientists

Profil3 supports the internal Graduate Academy "Learning·Society·Environment", which has a number of interdisciplinary groups of young researchers and a common training program for these young scientists.
- Welcome Center

Profil3 supports the University's Welcome Center for prospective and incoming international students and scientists, in particular for the respective English language Master's Program on both campuses.
