The subject of environmental protection is a future-oriented field of work where holistic approaches to solving problems are in demand. Sound knowledge in the field of sociology, economics and politics are therefore essential alongside a knowledge of natural sciences.

The aim of the practice-oriented degree program is therefore to train environmental scientists with the interdisciplinary skills to evaluate, analyze and resolve complex environmental problems.

Due to their wide range of skills, graduates will have access to many different professional fields – including international options - for instance with scientific institutes, public authorities, environmental departments in large corporations, planning and consulting firms and associations. The Bachelor’s degree is also the prerequisite for admission to a Master’s degree program in Environmental Sciences or Ecotoxicology.
