Erziehungswissenschaft (Master of Arts) Koblenz

Specialization in Research and Development in Organizations

The research-oriented Master’s degree program in Erziehungswissenschaft builds on the Bachelor’s degree program in Pädagogik. However, it is primarily of interest to those graduates who - perhaps after an initial period of work experience - wish to specialize professionally in educational planning, control and management functions or work in the field of research.

The degree program is structured in four areas (see program content) with a primary focus on ‘Organization and Control’ and ‘Quality and Evaluation’ alongside refresher and specialization courses in approaches to methodical research in educational science. The Master’s degree program conveys the skills required for academically-oriented analysis, reflection and design of structures and processes in organizations in the fields of education and teaching.

Potential vocational fields for graduates include personnel and management posts in education, social services and healthcare, in particular in facilities for youth welfare and continuing education. Other potential future employers include foundations, educational institutions and corporations dealing with development and assessment assignments in the field of education and teaching.
