Sozial- und Kommunikationswissenschaften (Master of Arts)

The Master’s degree program is a research-oriented, interdisciplinary degree program incorporating aspects of communication science, political science, sociology and business management. It builds on the Landau Bachelor’s degree program in Sozialwissenschaften but is also open to graduates from a number of other Bachelor’s degree programs.

After a period of basic interdisciplinary training, the degree program offers the following specialization options:

  • Shaping and participating in society
  • Politics and political education in the EU
  • Strategic communication - Political communication
  • Strategic communication - Organizational communication

The degree program is closely linked to the cross-campus specialization area of ‘Communication, Media and Politics’.

Graduates have the qualifications to assume executive positions in various fields of public service and administration. They can also opt to study for a doctorate.
