Accelerating Entrepreneurship (AccEnt) as part of the competition “EXIST Culture of Entrepreneurship – The Entrepreneurial University”
Using the motto “Accelerating Entrepreneurship” (AccEnt), the Central Institute for Scientific Entrepreneurship & International Transfer (ZIFET), representing the University of Koblenz-Landau, successfully participated in the Excellence Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy on the topic “EXIST Culture of Entrepreneurship – The Entrepreneurial University”. The University of Koblenz-Landau is one of just 22 universities in Germany and the only university in the Rhineland-Palatinate to bear the title “Entrepreneurial University”. The research and knowledge transfer funds available through AccEnt will be used to further develop and strengthen the existing infrastructure for establishing start-up enterprises as university spin-offs on both university campuses, Koblenz and Landau.

Research Initiative "Wissen schafft Zukunft"
The research initiative of the State of Rhineland Palatinate provides special funding for profile-forming research emphases at universities. These emphases are intended to hone and strengthen the profile areas of LEARNING, SOCIETY and the ENVIRONMENT at the University of Koblenz · Landau by expanding special research capacities and competencies, whereby they are first subjected to an external scientific evaluation and are set up by the University’s senate.

KOBLENZ-LANDAU. Attractive Degree Programm ensures success (KLASSE) - A Federal and state Government Program for better Study Conditions and more Quality in Teaching
The program helps selected universities throughout Germany to improve the support they provide to their students and the quality of teaching. The Koblenz-Landau Project. Attractive degree program ensures success (KLASSE) at the University of Koblenz · Landau already received funding during the first phase of the “teaching quality pact”. The concept was further developed with success in 2015: a 12-strong committee of experts recommended the program for additional funding. It was approved on 20 June 2016. A number of additional sub-projects received funding alongside six professorships that were brought forward.
The underlying project was funded by the Federal Ministry for Education and Research under the funding code 01PL17054. Responsibility for this publication lies with the author.

MoSAiK "Modulare Schulpraxisanbindung als Ausgangspunkt zur individuellen Kompetenzentwicklung
The MoSAiK program is aimed at implementing a holistic and integrated approach to systematically embed school as the foundation of individual competence development practice in the first phase of teacher education. A holistic approach to professional development in teacher training with accompanying empirical research was developed for the project, which integrates additional practice-related elements alongside practical training elements anchored in the modules of teacher training degree programs.

Professor program of federal and state gobernments
The University of Koblenz · Landau was once again successful at obtaining funding for its concept of equality during the second phase of the professor program of federal and state governments. The aim of the program is to support equality of women and men in academia, sustainably improve the representation of women at every level of qualification in the academic system and to increase the proportion of female academics in top positions. Start-up financing for the initial appointment of two women for an unlimited professorship was provided to the university (funding codes 01FP14015 E and 01FP14015F), supplemented by equality-promoting measures.

Profil3
Profil3 is a internal university project that is an integral component of the university’s long-term development. It is aimed at the university’s three profile areas of LEARNING, SOCIETY, ENVIRONMENT and addresses three central objectives of their development paths (Agenda 2020): Profile establishment in research, the promotion of junior scientists and internationalization. The project is implemented by way of special funding programs.

Program budgets
The University of Koblenz · Landau is fulfilling its responsibility of providing a high-quality degree program to a large number of students during the third program phase of the University Pact 2020. Program funding from the state government makes it possible to accentuate the program. Alongside the quantitative expansion of study places, the aim is to create structures to strengthen study programs and teaching and to guide students to successful completion of their program with assured quality. The objective is supported by projects that lead to a further opening of the university, thereby increasing the ease of transition between academic and occupational training. Additionally, the participation of women in academic research and their share of professorship appointments and other positions will be sustainably increased.
